definition: noun - powdery particles of wood produced by sawing.
When I'm working on projects, sometimes I
build or create things to see if I understand the problems
or issues. For that reason, a lot of it is temporary, has
no particular purpose, but might be amusing or educational.
That's what this site is all about.
This site's content includes topics on hardware, sensors,
microcontrollers, software, firmware, techniques I've used
or discovered. It's really a stash for things I'm learning
and want to share or just keep around for reference.
It covers AVR, SAM7, and Propeller microcontrollers, GPS,
power experiments, serial data communications, LogicPort,
LANtronix, and RF communications including XBee.
I do middleware software development, web development,
Flash GUI development, open source development and
application of open source projects professionally. In my
career I've been with companies such as Macromedia, 3Com,
Lotus/IBM. In the last several years I was involved in a
large AVL (automated
vehicle location) system for the emergency responders of
Colorado Springs. For fun I originated the
OSCirrus open source project and this family of
